Baldur's Gate Wiki

The Gold Bust depicts Gorion's Ward, though it doesn't look as much like them as they would hope, and has a seam running down the nose. It is the work of the artisan Foxleigh, who has been making a small fortune selling busts just like this one to victims of the Iron Throne. What sets this particular bust apart from the rest is that it is of pure gold, without any brass or copper mixed in.

This item is given by Ophyllis as compensation for his continued failure to repay his debt when (or if) he is encountered at Coast Way Crossing or in the Troll Claw Woods.

Description[]

This is a garish likeness of your own head, cast in pure gold. You do not feel that it is accurate and doubt anyone would be able to recognize your visage.

Trivia[]

Given the weight of the bust and the density of gold, it could not be both solid and life-sized. If it were solid, it would be be roughly the size of an apple; If life-sized, the amount of gold would allow for a hollow casting with walls around two millimeters thick (depending on the race and stature of Gorion's Ward).
