Glabrezus are tanar'ri that specialize in the temptation of mortals, although they are considered a middle-class demon of the Abyss.
This group of glabrezus are encountered as stand-alone creatures in the Temple of Rillifane (DEMGLAB2.cre) during Chapter Seven or are spawned by hidden proximity traps in the Guarded Compound (DEMGLASU.cre) and the Ruined Temple (DEMGLA01.cre) during Chapter Two.
Creature (DEMGLASU) is also the glabrezu that is "Gated" by a mage or other powerful being who is capable of utilizing the 8th-level Summon Fiend spell. This creature is not banished by a Death Spell.
Creatures (JONDEM01.cre) and (JONDEM03.cre) appear with Jon Irenicus in the final battle in The Abyss. These demons are the weakest version of glabrezu in the game, with no innate or spell casting ability, and they can't see invisible creatures.
Gameplay[]
They are immune to weapons of less than +2 enchantment and deal 3d4 (crushing) damage with their pincer-like claws that protrude from the end of their massive main limbs. While boasting high hit points and a low armor class, glabrezus are also capable of casting several different offensive spells that can wreak havoc on unprepared adventuring parties.
This group of glabrezus will cast the following spells in combat:

- Paralyze
- Remove Magic
DEMGLASU:
- Power Word, Stun
- Remove Magic (only cast if a cleric or mage is within the creature's sight)
A glabrezu's immunities can vary slightly from one creature type to the next, but they all possess an item in their ring slot which provides the following protections:
- 100% resistance to Poison damage
- Immunity to non-magical weapons
- Immunity to effects:
- Charm Creature
- Confusion
- Feeblemindedness
- Panic
- Poison
- Polymorphed
- Morale break
