To start this quest speak with Galken, who is located in the main room of the Ulgoth's Beard Inn in the town of Ulgoth's Beard. If you spot him 900 
so he can clear his tab with the innkeeper, he will offer to give you a ward token which supposedly provides entry to the dungeons beneath Durlag's Tower. However, the wardstone is a fake and will not grant entry to the lower labyrinth levels beneath Durlag's Tower.
Notes[]
- This is one of those side quests that will appear in your Journal as a completed quest whether you do or don't agree to pay off Galken's tab.
- Should you refuse to pay but decide later to pony up the gold pieces, the journal entry itself will change, but the quest header tab will still read "finished".
- This quest is a "unique" side quest in that you can end up losing gold as you can't sell the Dwarven Rune Wardstone.
