Description[]
“ | Created by the Fire Seeds spell. When thrown at opponents, they explode into small fireballs that do 2d8 points of damage to everyone within a 7-ft. radius. | ” |
Gameplay[]
- Unlike normal darts, Fire Seeds are not affected by weapon proficiency or the lack thereof, do not set attacks per round to 3 and deal no physical damage on impact.
- Their on-hit explosion belongs to the Evocation school and Offensive damage type, blockable by Spell Immunity and the Cloak of Mirroring except on the dart's user. Magic resistance can negate their damage.
- They ignore Mirror Image on the target.
- See the Fire Seeds spell article for more details and a couple tactics.
Mod content[]
- This section is about unofficial content that is only available via fan-made mods.
The Spell Revisions mod Fire Seed explode with a non-magical elemental fire burst dealing 4d6 Fire damage.
A Saving throw vs. Breath with a -4 penalty will half the damage. The fire has no assigned spell school or secondary type, and zero Power level. The seeds strike as +4 items.
