Sendai is a drow Bhaalspawn and a cleric/mage member of The Five.

Gameplay[]

In Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, when the player meets her in the deepest area of her enclave, Sendai will create seven statues around the room. One by one, each statue will turn into a copy of Sendai and attack. When a statue copy is killed, two drow warriors will appear and attack, and another statue will turn into a copy of Sendai and attack. After all the statues have been destroyed, the real Sendai will appear and attack.

  • Sendai (not her clones) has a natural luck score of 4, meaning that spells roll a lot less damage to her than normal (or even minimum damage all the time, if the die rolled is small, like a d4).
  • It's worth noting that she is only a 20th level Cleric/Mage, which means her defenses will readily go down if Remove Magic is cast by a single-class mage, e.g. Edwin.
  • Once her defenses are down, she lacks any innate Fire Resistance, so the spells Fire Storm and/or Dragon's Breath can damage her through her magic resistance.
  • She is also notably vulnerable to Critical Hits, meaning one or more Improved Hasted fighters can use the Fighter HLA Critical Strike to rapidly damage her, hopefully before she teleports away to Heal. Rinse and repeat until she goes down, casting Breach if she throws up Protection from Magical Weapons.
