Cernd is available to recruit from Baldur's Gate II Chapter 2, he will offer to join the party when talking to him in the basement of the Mayor's House in Trademeet during the Animal trouble in Trademeet sidequest.

Quests[]

Gameplay[]

As a shapeshifter, Cernd's Greater Wolfwere form may prove useful at early stages of SoA, but as its effectiveness withers, he's best used as a dedicated caster rather than a mixed fighter.

When he joins the party, he has two items which can only be used by him: the Staff of the High Forest, which heals him 1 HP every 12 seconds, and the Cloak of the High Forest, which improves his armor class and his saving throws by one point, like a Cloak of Protection +1, however Cernd's cloak is better, in the sense that it can be worn together with a ring or an amulet of protection.

Biography[]

When asked about his past, CERND declares in a steady and modest tone that it has been his honor to serve nature in whatever capacity she did call upon him. It is clear that he is a dedicated servant, and though his demeanor is contemplative and well measured, you are certain that he would not hesitate to risk himself if it would best serve the greater balance.

I would offer you only one piece of advice, <CHARNAME>. Rid yourself of the sins of your father... do not live under his shadow, but make your own destiny. You can do better, I think. You do not need this power.
