Gameplay[]
The Eyestalk of an Elder Orb is from of one the most powerful subspecies of the beholder race, freshly hewn from its former owner's scalp. It is taken from the corpse of a specific Elder Orb located in the Underdark and taking the Southern Tunnels. Somewhere in the caverns is this creature, lurking and well protected.
It is one of three items that 'Veldrin' can choose to present to Matron Mother Ardulace Despana as a component in a demon-summoning ritual that is part of the main Ust Natha storyline quest.
Its alternatives are the Elder Brain Blood and the Kuo-toa's Blood. You are free to obtain one, two, or all three items if desired.
Once the item is presented to the Matron Mother, it will be removed from the player's inventory.
