The Eyes of the Beholder is a helmet in that is only available in the Enhanced Edition of Shadows of Amn. It provides protection against critical hits and a -1 bonus to armor class. It also allows the wearer to use Domination, Paralyze or Fear (similar to a Beholder eye ray) three times per day each. It's also noteworthy that all three spells belong to the Enchantment school, and therefore carry a save penalty when cast by an Enchanter dualed into another class that allows them to wear this helmet.

It can be obtained in the Heretic Temple during Rassad's companion quest Rasaad's Journey. It is given to Gorion's Ward as a reward for successfully going through the Trial of Pain.
