The Eyes of the Beholder is a helmet in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. It provides protection against critical hits and a -1 bonus to armor class. It also allows the wearer to use Domination, Paralyze or Fear three times per day each. It's also noteworthy that all three abilities are considered Enchantments and, therefore, carry a save penalty when cast by an Enchanter dualed into another class that allows them to wear this.

Description[]

Ages ago, the infamous conjurer Nederath created this artifact from the remains of a powerful beholder. It takes the form of a helm crowned by ten eyestalks. The wearer can gaze through a central eye and focus the helm's power toward enemies.
