Erik is a resident of Candlekeep, and friend of Jondalar. He is part of one of the many optional tutorials at the beginning of the game. His purpose in the game is to get the player used to being shot at with missile weapons.

- Erik will appear at coordinates
4185.1114. - Leaving Jondalar alone and engaging Erik in melee combat, will let him switch to his quarterstaff. This makes his longbow available for pickpocketing when the fight is over and both have become neutrally aligned again,- the only one that can be obtained this early without paying for it.
