Drow Scimitar (Drow Scimitar +3 in-game) is an enchanted +3 weapon. It inflicts 1d8+4 points of slashing damage and it has +3 THAC0 bonus. It has a weight of 3 lbs and it requires 10 strength to wield the weapon. This weapon, like any other adamantite item, will dissolve to Adamantine Dust when exposed to sunlight outside of The Underdark. It is dropped by Drow warriors.

Description[]

The long, curved, single-edged blade is characteristic of both the saber and the scimitar, even though their origins lie in different parts of Faerûn.

This item, like most drow equipment, is created using adamantine, an alloy of adamantite that quickly turns to dust if removed from the Underdark.

Bugs[]

  • Throne of Bhaal LOADCNTR00004 Icon ToBBaldur's Gate II:
    Throne of Bhaal
    (2001)
This icon indicates content from the original Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal campaign.
The passive Vocalize effect is poorly implemented: The wielder can be silenced, and needs to reequip the sword to be cured. No Vocalize portrait icon is displayed.

This icon indicates content from the original Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal campaign.
Any Bard hit by this sword must save vs Spell at a -4 penalty or be Slayed. This bug has been fixed in 2.5.26498, so make sure to update from 2.5.26461.
  • Throne of Bhaal LOADCNTR00004 Icon ToBBaldur's Gate II:
    Throne of Bhaal
    (2001)
This icon indicates content from the original Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal campaign.
The cause for both of these bugs is that the Scimitar was copied from Shazzellim by developers; a weapon not meant for use by players.
