Classic & Enhanced
This icon indicates content from all games of the 1st Baldur's Gate instalment – all editions and expansions. This may include The Black Pits..
Gameplay[]
Though immune to missile damage, the on-hit effect from magical arrows such as the Acid Arrow does affect them and can bring them down quickly.
Bugs[]
Baldur's Gate (1998)
This icon indicates content from the original Baldur's Gate campaign. In the original Baldur's Gate, the weapon's additional 1d8 damage is slashing, not fire.
Trivia[]
Doom guards aren't of any race or class in the original Baldur's Gate. Although Flesh Golems are encountered in the game, true golems were only introduced with its successor, Shadows of Amn. The Enhanced Edition uses these resources and gives Doom guards a true construct-like status, while simultaneously changing their gender from neither to male – an exception amongst golems, which tend to have the former one.
