Doom is a 1st level priest spell. It impairs a target, reducing their THAC0 and Saving Throws.

Effects

This spell causes a feeling of doom to overwhelm the target. For the duration of the spell, the target receives a +2 penalty to all their rolls, including THAC0 and Saving Throws. There is no Saving Throw for this spell.

Gameplay

  • While the description implies there are other effects, the only rolls that this spell affects are THAC0 and Saving Throws.
  • In the original Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal, this spell was cumulative with itself. In the Enhanced Editions, it does not stack with itself.
    • It will stack with other saving throw modifications such as Greater Malison. It will not stack with Spirit Fire, as that spell uses the same status effect as Doom.
