'Domination (Innate) is an innate ability available to predominantly Vampire creatures. It is also referred to as "Vampire Domination". The ability is initiated via script by the AI. The effect is directed at a single creature target in visible range of the source creature. The Domination will require the target to make a Saving throw vs. spell with a -2 penalty or suffer a Dire Charm effect that lasts 48 seconds. The effect is magical and can be dispelled. Once the effect duration has expired or otherwise been lifted, the target creature will revert to its natural allegiance, which will most likely be hostile to the caster/vampire.

If affected by the ability, the targeted party member will have a "Dominated" graphic Icon (No.43) displayed on their portrait until dispelled or duration ends.

The Domination will not bypass Magic resistance and can be blocked by spell protections such as Spell Deflection or Spell Trap.

The Sword Coast Stratagems mod revised this ability. It has a casting time of 0, and the saving throw is now at -3 penalty. The ability has the following description:
Domination

Range: Visual range of the vampire
Duration: 8 rounds
Casting Time: Instant
Area of Effect: 1 creature
Saving Throw: Neg.

A vampire's mental abilities are powerful tools indeed. Domination enables the vampire to control the actions of any creature while the ability is in effect. This control is maintained through a telepathic link between the caster and the victim. Unlike the 4th-level priest spell Mental Domination, the target has no option for release, even if made to do something against their morals. This effect can only be reversed by Dispel Magic. The target is allowed a Saving Throw vs. Spell with a -3 penalty to negate the effect. The power is equivalent to level 5 spell power and can be blocked by magic resistance.

This creature may use this power once per 6 seconds.
