Dirk is a member of the Thieves' Guild in Baldur's Gate and one of the three partners of Wiven who are in the process of robbing a residence in Southwest Baldur's Gate when Gorion's Ward and party enter the premises and interrupt them. Only Wiven is visible as Dirk and the other two thieves are lurking in the shadows. All three will step out at Wiven's command and attack the party if you don't choose to give up all of your money to her.
