This is a "spell" used by some enemy thieves in the game to detect illusions. It has no name, but any time it is used, the message Detects Illusion will appear both in combat logs and above the thief's head.[2]

Unlike Find Traps / Detect Illusion, which both player and enemy thieves use, illusions can be protected from destruction by this spell. Its feedback message is also different so the player can know which type of illusion detection is being used.

Gameplay[]

  • The area of effect is not centred on the thief but on a target within 40 feet of the thief
  • It affects all creatures in the AoE regardless of allegiance
  • It will fail 30% of the time, with the message Fails to detect illusions
  • Unlike other Illusionary creature destroyers, this attack uses a level 1 Disintegrate effect on illusionary creatures
  • It isn't a modal ability like the regular Detect Illusion thief skill
