This article is a Deder is a temporary companion whom Gorion's Ward can add to the party during combat training in Candlekeep's storage cellars during the Prologue. In Chapter Six, on the second level of the Candlekeep Catacombs, he and Arkanis will offer to join the Ward as uncontrollable NPCs whilst exploring the level. If the party's Reputation is lower than 8 and he is accused of being a doppelganger, he and Arkanis will attack the party instead – which might lead to a loss of reputation.
