- Death Ward does NOT protect summons from Death Fog or Death Spell, does NOT prevent death from Ability Scores drain or Level drain pushing scores to 0, and does NOT avoid Imprisonment or Petrification. It also does not protect against Harm which reduces HP to 1.
Note: Death Ward does not exist in the Original BG1.

While under the effects of this spell, the recipient is immune to all forms of death magic. This includes, but is not limited to, Death Spell, Disintegrate, Power Word Kill, Finger of Death, and Wail of the Banshee. This effect will last for the duration of the spell or until dispelled.
