This article is a Dark Elven Chain is the drow version of Elven Chain +1 issued to war parties and raiders visiting the surface, where traditional drow Adamantine armor will quickly deteriorate and turn to Adamantine Dust.
This item is only available during a specific encounter if the bhaalspawn has reached a certain point when romancing Viconia DeVir during Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn or the Enhanced Edition.

Gameplay[]
This armor is a light and sturdy enchanted suit of chain mail.
Only eligible classes with an evil Alignment are able to don the armor.
The armor does penalize certain thieving skills, but it also can be worn by certain classes that can cast arcane magic, such as a Fighter / Mage for example, and it won't disable spell casting abilities like most armor will.
