Danine is a member of a band of half a dozen would-be adventurers who signed up with the Coalition to fight against the Shining Crusade of Caelar Argent during the events of Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear.

If Safana is in the player's party for the quest Troop Train, she will recognize that Danine's natural inclinations are towards fighting dirty. She will persuade Danine to dual-class to Thief, which is one of the choices needed to successfully complete the quest.
