Crypt Crawlers are loathsome monsters resembling enormous grubs with many tentacles around their mouths. Carrion eaters, they possess the ability to paralyze creatures with the touch of their flailing tentacles, similarly to ghouls, and like those undead they thusly attack living creatures when given the opportunity.
They are essentially a more powerful version of the common Carrion Crawler, most distinguishable by their vastly increased speed. They are only found in the depths of Durlag's Tower, and seem to have evolved from their brethren as a result of the dark magic tainting the dwarf-crafted dungeon.
