Cromwell's Home is also a smithy in Athkatla's Docks District during Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn.
Inside, the dwarf Cromwell is taking care of business, crafting high quality, powerful arms and armor. Cromwell is the only smith in Amn able to craft weapons from various unique components found throughout the game.
Layout[]
The entrance to Cromwell's home is to the far east, up one short flight of stairs. The door is marked on the player's Auto-Map. This is a simple single room with a forge, worktables, and several chests. His home is situated below a Commoner's House (accessed by two flights of stairs to the west near Mae'Var's Guildhall).
Containers[]
There are five containers in Cromwell's home. The table is empty, and and all four chests have alarms [1] that summon the authorities (if observed stealing), including Amnian Centurions, Amnian Legionaries and Cowled Enforcers.[2] Cromwell himself will also turn hostile and attack the party along with the Authorities:
- Chest (N) - Locked (60), Turquoise Gem, Jasper Gem, Shandon Gem
- Chest (NE left) - Locked (100), Average random treasure
- Chest (NE right) - Locked (100), Well-off random treasure
- Chest (W) - Locked (100), Short Bow +1, Composite Longbow, Long Bow, Arrows (×40)
