Level 3 numbered treasure containers

Cloakwood Mine level 3 is where the iron ore is smelted and forged into weapons and armor. There are also bedrooms, barracks, a temple, an armory and other rooms.

The party is greeted by four Swordsman guards, two Hobgoblin (fighters) and a Hobgoblin Elite upon entering the level. Further exploration reveals four Light guards scattered throughout the level and random spawning hobgoblins (both fighters and archers) and hobgoblin elite encountered frequently, usually in groups of 3-5.

Note: Hobgoblins will respawn quickly, especially in the barracks area.

The light guard in the temple room will ask: "Are you here to pay homage to our dread lord?". If the answer is yes, he will ask to choose between 4 evil gods. The answer "Cyric" will make him leave, otherwise he turns hostile.

Slaves are encountered in the forge room (×4), the circular room, the dining/kitchen room (×4), and the ogre room (×3).

Note: All of the slaves will disappear if Rill has been given the 100 Gold Piece

The guard room in the lower southeast section of the level contains the entrance point to Level 4 of the mine.

Encounters

• An invisible Ogre Mage — is encountered in the large rectangular room located on the eastern side of the level that's scattered with the dead bodies of Amnian soldiers and miners. The ogre mage uses a combination of mind control and damage spells, including Confusion, Flame Arrow, Horror, Melf’s Acid Arrow, and Agannazar’s Scorcher.
