Cleric is a male human priest found in the Illithid Hideout in the Sewers.

Gameplay[]

This cleric is encountered in the second chamber of the illithid complex.

The cleric is ostensibly represented as being dire charmed and controlled by the mind flayers and forced to defend against the party's intrusion. This is conveyed by certain on-screen dialogue messages displayed when the encounter occurs.

The cleric uses the PRIES12a script for spell casting combat behavior. The WTASIGHT script is for targeting choice when he's in melee combat.

Once an enemy is detected the cleric will force cast a combo of Chant and Strength of One. Nearby allies will also benefit from these spells.

As long as the cleric isn't disrupted, it will prioritize casting more scripted divine spells as outlined in the InfoBox.

Mod content[]

This section is about unofficial content that is only available via fan-made mods.

The Sword Coast Stratagems mod revises this cleric. A new default AI script is assigned for smarter spell use and targeting. A new group of memorized spells are scripted for use.

If a party member approaches as hidden, the script will have the cleric cast an Invisibility Purge.

Upon an enemy being detected the cleric will apply a chain of protective buffs including Armor of Faith, Spiritual Hammer, Draw Upon Holy Might (spell), Physical Mirror, Free Action (spell) and Animate Dead.

The cleric will attempt to cast various direct damage dealing spells, disabling spells, and heal self or allies.

If in trouble the cleric will use Sanctuary and then try and heal. Watch out for the scripted Harm spell.

If the SCS Icewind dale component is installed, or the IWDification mod, then several spells from Icewind Dale will be added/substituted.

With the Spell Revisions mod installed most non IWD spells will be the SR version.

An SCS potion is added to the cleric's inventory for potential scripted healing or ability boosting.
