The Clairvoyance spell reveals the geography of the whole area map.

Description[]

The Clairvoyance spell empowers the wizard to see in <PRO_HISHER> mind the geographical features and buildings of the region <PRO_HESHE> is currently exploring. It extends to a great range, but cannot reveal creatures or their movements.

Gameplay[]

The caster applies this spell to themself only.

When the spell casting is complete the caster has a brief series of swirling lighting, color fade and a "True Sight" style graphic animation rendered over their sprite.

The spell reveals the current map area in which the spell is cast, allowing the player to peruse the entire geographical features on the map, excluding any creatures that may be on it.

The spell doesn't technically remove the "fog of war", which will remain and can be cleared through normal exploration.

Although normally this spell only works outdoors, if you cast it from a scroll it'll also work indoors or underground.

This spell grants an unnatural perception of things to come. Once Clairvoyance is cast, the caster receives instantaneous warnings of impending danger or harm. He becomes impossible to surprise and cannot be backstabbed. In addition, the spell gives a general idea of what action might be taken to best protect oneself, granting a +2 insight bonus to AC and saves vs. breath. The effects last for the duration of the spell and cannot be dispelled.
