Circlet of Netheril is an item that can be worn in a character's helmet slot (it provides no special coloring or head gear graphics).
The final upgraded Circlet of Netheril cannot be made earlier than Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal in chapter 8.

Gameplay[]
The circlet is a component to start with. At that stage it bestows no powers or abilities, except in the classic game, where it could protect against critical hits if worn.
Only when the circlet is used as a component with the Bronze Ioun Stone will the combined upgraded item's powers be realized.
The upgraded Circlet of Netheril bestows the wearer with:
- +10 bonus to maximum Hit point value
- One extra 7th level wizard spell memory slot
- One extra 8th level wizard spell memory slot

- The component is dropped by the Chromatic Demon at Watcher's Keep
