The Cinder Shower spell is applied by the Burning Man creature, exposing its enemies to the spell's potential effects.
Gameplay[]
The Burning Man golem will ReallyForceSpell cast this spell instantly at a detected enemy as soon as it's observed within 15 feet of the golem.
A sparkling red projectile unerringly speeds to any and all enemy creatures in a 15-feet radius of the golem, exposing those in the AoE to the spell's effects - the combat log will show a text reading "Cinder Shower" when it is cast.
All exposed enemies are subjected to 4d10 Fire damage, with no saving throw.
Additionally, each exposed creature will be visually impaired for five rounds, no save, and an icon (No. 8) titled "Blind" will appear in their portrait.
The effect is not actually a Blindness status effect, the victim can still see for the usual distance it normally can but is impaired with a 4-point THAC0 and 2-point Dexterity penalty, which cannot be removed/dispelled.
Magic resistance can block the fire damage part of the spell, but not the visual impairment.
A Spell Immunity: Evocation will stop this spell completely, as will a person protected by the Cloak of Mirroring, but there are no other ways to become immune to the spell.
Mercifully, the golem's AI script only applies this spell once during a battle. However, if there are more than one Burning Man present in the same area, it's possible that a party member may end up with a -8 THAC0 penalty and -4 Dexterity.
