Halberds

Halberds are a combination of spear with an axe. It is a great weapon for thrusting and slashing, while keeping your opponents far away from the wielder. Halberds are commonly used by Amnish soldiers in the city of Athkatla. In the game of Baldur's Gate (1998), this type of weapon was sorted under the Spears proficiency. After Baldur's Gate II, this type of weapon became a proficiency on its own, Halberds.
