The Boots of Lightning Speed are a pair of boots that boost your normal movement speed tremendously – at the cost of being unable to attack or cast spells. They were cut from Shadows of Amn.

Locations[]
- The mod titled Almateria's Restoration Project has to be installed, else the boots are unavailable. Please note that the Unfinished Business (Baldur's Gate II) mod does not install these boots in the game. Only the aforementioned one does this.
- They can be obtained by killing Habib – or pickpocketing them from him, if you're fast enough.
Gameplay[]
You may still use sequencer spells and innate or class abilities, such as hide in shadows. Subsequent haste effects will boost the speed further.
Bugs[]
As of BG2EE 2.6, Boots of Lightning Speed boosted speed to a fixed level instead of the promised quadruple speed. This is identified and corrected in The Enhanced Edition Fixpack (EEFP). Ref: (boot10.itm)
