The various horns of Valhalla can summon berserk warriors of various levels. They are equipped with a ring with worn Berserk effect and as such will be berserk for the duration they are summoned. The other items they wear are versions that are not droppable, but in other ways identical to the normal items.

The Berserk state is unlike those of the Berserker or Barbarian class: it grants a bonus of -2 to THAC0 and +2 to damage, but no other effects (such as immunities or AC penalties) are applied. The creature may attack neutral creatures while in this state and as such should be summoned with care.

All use the same AI script, same items and are Human Fighters of chaotic good alignment, without a specialization kit. They have no proficiency in Axes, even though they are equipped with one and no points in the Sword and Shield proficiency.

Effectively, they will do 1d8+3 (slashing) at the THAC0 described in the infobox, as they will have a +3 THAC0 penalty from lack of proficiency compensated by -1 bonus from Strength and -2 bonus from Berserk.

Level 5[]

While it is using a shield and some armor, the creature is not aimed to serve as a tank, as its dexterity and natural AC are suboptimal.

Level 7[]

The level 7 version has an improved attack rating using a lower THAC0 and number of attacks. His hitpoints are 20 more and saves slightly improved. But it still is not a good idea to use the creature defensively.

Level 9[]

The level 9 version has less improvements upon his level 7 brother in arms. No improved attacks per round, but a slightly better THAC0 and saves nonetheless.
