Bentha

Bentha is a magic user and merchant who has been cornered by the mage Zordral in her tent which is located in the Carnival area.

Zordral will execute Bentha unless you goad him into attacking your party. This gets the party some XP and possibly a potion depending upon your dialogue choices. Bentha will leave and disappear when the dialogue is finished.

Dialogue[]

Thank you for rescuing me. I am Bentha, and yes you could call me a witch, for I do use magic. However, I have no intentions of killing the livestock or "seducing" the young men. Zordral is an old enemy of mine, one who has caused me and my family great pain over the years. If you had not walked in at that moment, I would have been killed. I must thank you again. Is there anything that I can do to help you?

1-Do you have any magic trinkets you can give us?
Why yes, I do. Here, take this. It might come in useful in times of need. It's a potion that cures all poisons.
(Party receives an antidote potion)
2-Do you have information about the region? We're adventurers, and would be grateful if you could give us any advice.
Well, I'm not too knowledgeable about the Nashkel region, but I do know that Volothamp Geddarm is staying at the tavern in Nashkel. That man knows everything. He knows more than a mortal man should know.
(Party receives nothing)
3-No, a good deed done is enough for us.
Why, that's very kind of you. But I couldn't let you leave without a small parting gift. Here, take this. It's a potion that will help in any heroic endeavors.
(Party receives a Potion of Heroism)
