Beetles and Spiders is a quest in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear.
Acquisition[]
After killing all the spiders in the Spider Cave and entering the west-most chamber, a large group of Boring Beetles and Bombardier Beetles, led by a single Rhinoceros Beetle, will appear in the central chamber.
Walkthrough[]
The beetles will initially be neutral, but moving close to any of them will quickly cause them to become individually hostile.
If a character carrying a Spider Egg moves close to the Rhinoceros Beetle, it will begin to follow them, in theory allowing it to be lured away, but unless care is taken, it will usually quickly get into attack range and begin fighting. If the Rhinoceros Beetle is killed, it will drop a Rhino Beetle Shell.
The quest will end once the party reaches the exit to the cave.
