Battle Axe +2 is an enchanted weapon, but unlike almost other weapons, it has two possible images. One is that of the Battle Axe of Mauletar, which does not appear in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. The other one has a new design and shares the same drawn image with the Battle Axe +3. The differences between them are cosmetic. The weapon deals 1d8 +2 points of slashing damage, has a -2 THAC0 bonus, a speed factor and weight of 5 units and it requires 10 strength to wield it. This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. It can be bought from Ribald Barterman in Chapter 6, the Tankard Tree and from Karthis al-Hezzar.
Description[]
“ | The most common version of the battle axe is a stout pole about four feet in length with a single-edged, trumpet-shaped blade mounted on one end. Battle axes are also called broad axes. Magical battle axes are normally crafted by dwarves to help defend their warriors against their harsher neighbors. This magical axe has seen many battles but its enchantments and craftsmanship make it a very capable weapon still. | ” |
