Baldur's Gate Wiki

Bandit Scalps are a miscellaneous item in Baldur's Gate. They are most notably dropped by members of the Blacktalons - human Bandits, in other words. From Chapter 7 she'll only leave if the party has no scalp when speaking to her, so you can safely sell scalps to her until whenever you feel like closing this quest and getting +1 reputation point.

In the Enhanced Edition the only places that will purchase these are Feldepost's Inn and the Nashkel Store. As they are weightless and stackable to 10, each dedicated inventory slot is potentially worth 500 gold - a substantial sum when compared to most other items scavenged in-game.
