Arrows of Fire, +2 in the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Siege of Dragonspear, are arrows – ammunition for bows in the Baldur's Gate series – which may inflict additional fire damage.
In Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, for all intents and purposes, they will behave like +1 weapons.
Description[]
“ | This is a magical arrow that will burst into flames as it is fired at an enemy. The effect is similar to an arrow doused in oil and set to flame. | ” |
— Arrow of Fire +2 |
Statistics[]
Enchantment, THAC0 and damage for these arrows are somewhat inconsistent throughout the Baldur's Gate series. Only in the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Siege of Dragonspear, this ammunition for bows is enchanted, and that at a level of 2 which is reflected in their name. Though missing this enchantment in other games, all except the Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition add a bonus of 2 to the bowman's THAC0. The same bonus is applied to the arrow's missile damage in the first game, while it deals only the basic 1 to 6 points in the second part. The additional fire damage, which a save vs. spell – without any specialist bonuses or penalties – is allowed against and that can be blocked by magic resistance, accounts for 1 to 6 points in Baldur's Gate I, but – reduced, again – only for 1 to 2 points in Baldur's Gate II.
These limitations come with a price, literally: the arrows are sold with a base value of 25 at the Sword Coast, but are worth only 15 in Amn and Tethyr.

Notes[]
- Besides not being able to fire arrows because of usage restrictions, in most games monks at least can equip them in their quivers, thus being helpful with inventory management. Only the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition disallows this for the class.
