Archivist Giltham, also labelled on the game screen as just "Archivist" is an NPC found within Watcher's Keep Altar Level.

Gameplay[]
First contact with this ghostly creature may be at the very start of exploring the dungeon. This is where the figure will simply remark that it is "Cold, so very cold..."
Later, the Archivist can be activated in the kitchen if the Flint and Tinder are used on the Fireplace. Starting the roaring fire will draw the spirit to the warmth and seem to generate a spark of "life" back to the wandering ghost. He seems unaware of his status of actually being a spirit.
Engage in dialogue with the creature to gain insight into this dungeon's history and ask some questions if desired.
Note that the spirit figure is an actor for the plot and roleplaying, not some monster to be killed. It is essentially invulnerable to all attacks. Even if somehow destroyed, it will achieve nothing productive, and no hidden benefit to the player. So don't waste your time and resources flailing away at this non-enemy.
