Amnian Legionaries are members of the Amnian Military who concentrate on keeping the city of Athkatla safe from those that would flaunt the rules of civility, including violence and theft of property, and other unlawful conduct.

Four of these Amnian Legionaries are part of the contingent of enforcers that will appear when an individual or a party with a low reputation triggers reputation alarm points within the city.
Between two to four will appear if any type of attempted thievery has been observed by the local populace. This can be triggered with the opening of certain containers (like a chest or drawer). An example would be one of the containers in the Balthis Estate, Cromwell's Home, or Delosar's Inn.
They also make an appearance if you:
- Anger Valygar's manservant Hervo.
- Attack the actors in the Five Flagons Inn if it is your Stronghold.
- Attempt to collect the ransom for Lady Elgea during the Find the kidnappers who buried Tirdir side quest.
- Act defiantly towards Trax when he questions you about Jan Jansen possibly trying to sell you illegal items.
This Legionary will always appear as an enemy and killing them will not affect your reputation.

This Amnian Legionary will appear when citizens attempt to sleep outside within the city limits (except for the City Gates and the Graveyard districts). After rousting you from your attempted slumber, he'll leave and disappear. Killing this Legionary will result in a loss of reputation.

This icon indicates content from the Shadows of Amn campaign of the Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.during Neera's companion quest, four of these Amnian Legionaries will accompany the minotaur Ghallus when the creature returns to help defeat Lanneth in the Red Wizard Enclave. They will fight on autonomously against any enemy forces in the enclave but are not controlled by the player. No reputation loss will be incurred should they die as a result of friendly fire or if they become dominated by enemy wizards during battle.
When Lanneth dimension doors to her laboratory, or is killed, then any surviving legionnaires will cease fighting and make a statement and issue final remarks, then depart
