Amaunator, also known as the Yellow God and the Keeper of the Eternal Sun, is a lawful neutral dead deity of law and the sun.
He was worshipped in ancient Netheril and faded with it. The Bedine of Anauroch worshipped him as At'ar the Merciless, who was female.
In-Game[]
Rasaad will mention Amaunator a few times throughout the series and the player can discover two of his ancient temples in Baldur's Gate II.
Amaunator's avatar can make an appearance in Baldur's Gate II during the quest Find and Destroy the Cult of the Unseeing, in which he gives his forgotten worshippers their long desired final rest.

Temples[]
Unlike most other temples in the games, the temples of Amaunator do not offer any services.
- On the northern end of the Lower Reaches deep beneath the sewers in the Temple District of Athkatla (see Temple of the Forgotten God)
- In the Temple Ruins, the area north of the Umar Hills
