Am-Si is gazing toward the water on a wooden walkway in the Bridge District. He is garbed in a distinctive red colored robe.

What do you want, friend? Can you not see that I am busy here?

— Am-Si

Gameplay[]

Based on the clues given from the half-dead and formerly buried alive victim Tirdir, as well as the information from the grave keeper Sethle, it is likely that this man is one of the kidnappers in the quest Find the kidnappers who buried Tirdir. If the party wishes to follow-up on that, then perhaps engage the man in dialogue.

If confronted with the Piece of Red Cloth he will try to flee inside the Kidnappers' House. Although, there are other dialogue choices as well, and Am-Si may make you an offer to "cut you in" on a piece of their lucrative schemes. Or he may claim that he is forced to do these kind of evil deeds. In the end, it's up to the party to decide his fate. If you directly attack him, and even if you do not even speak with him - then it's quite easy put him down. There will be no repercussions from authorities.

If the party allows Am-Si to flee and enter the Kidnapper's House, and then follow inside, then observed will be a cast of kidnappers, with real-time dialogue displayed:
Am-Si: I'm sorry! I dont't know how he found out!
Camitis: That ain't why we're mad, you little rock-gnawing fool! You were supposed to kill them sacks, not dump them!
Am-Si: I... I couldn't! I can't... I can't stand the blood!
Camitis: So drown 'em! Whack 'em with a stick! I don't care! What kind of...
Reti: We have to go, Camitis. We got company
Camitis: Not before I kill this little rat-stink! Not before!

At that point Reti flees from the house, Camitis kills Am-Si, and attempts to flee as well.
