Adalon's Lair is the den of the Silver Dragon Adalon in the Underdark.
Description[]
This map area is entered through a passage marked on the Underdark map as "Dark Cave".
If the party attempts to enter the cave a message will display "An impenetrable darkness overwhelms you. You cannot pass this way without light."
Gameplay[]
This area is impenetrable by the party unless they first acquire the Light Gem - needed to pierce the dragon's mystical darkness defense - a blackness so deep that even the drow cannot travel through it.
Should the party ever make its way within the lair and encounter the silver dragon, they will be introduced to the Recover the Silver Dragon's Eggs quest, unless Adalon is attacked by the party before the dialogue can progress. In that case, there will never be any exploration of Ust Natha and all adventures, quests, tasks, experience, treasure and challenges within the city will be unattainable by the player.
Another quest is possible with this creature, known as Blood of a Silver Dragon.
