Acolyte Byron is a human male cleric of Talos assigned to try, test, and assign some tasks to the Ward as part of the Cleric Stronghold quest line.

Gameplay[]
Once the Ward has acknowledged the commands from Stormherald Nallabir - the ward begins the process of being assigned some duties, which are introduced by Acolyte Vilon to the Ward.
There are a total of five required tasks/steps that must be completed to realize the full benefits and acceptance of the church. These tasks have varying degrees of the proper Talos doctrine way of dealing with them, as well as a partially correct way, and in some cases the Ward can fail so poorly resulting in being cast out and no longer have sanctuary in the church.
Vilon is the NPC that will introduce the tasks and make reports/grade how well the Ward accomplished the duty in the eyes of the church at least.
Vilon can be attacked by the party, which as can be imagined will have negative consequences for the Ward, and lead to hostility from the temple of Talos. Only someone disloyal to Talos would kill an acolyte of the church if they were questioning the Stormherald's evaluation process, but roleplay this as desired, bhaalspawn.
